The Scrapbook Daisies site has a Scrapbook Journaling Challenge going on right now, I made this 12x12 Scrapbook Layout on American Crafts Paper and used some scrapbook journaling blocks and lots of machine stitching.
Only catch? I couldn't figure out when I took these pictures! I had matted them a few years ago {which is what I call a half-baked scrapbook page} and just recently discovered the blue mat with the photos but even after searching my computer for about a 1/2 hour I couldn't find these old pictures and even after looking at pictures of my kids from 2006, 2007, and 2008 - I couldn't figure out which year this trip was. Is it important? No, we can still remember this happy trip without knowing which year it happened. But can we learn something? Yes! Scrapbookers forget stuff, which is why we scrapbook and why we should write stuff (like dates) down. If you want to hear more about the topic of "We Forget" listen to Stacy Julian, Nancy Nally and Noell Hyman respond to my write in question about scrapbooking journaling and getting the story down when the inspiration / memory strikes like the way we pick up the camera and snap a photo when something exciting happens (like scoring the big prize tickets in the Monopoly Game at Chuck E. Cheese's). Click Here For the Link to the "You Forget" Paperclipping Roundtable Episode.
