My kids often ask me to tell them FUNNY STORIES about when they were little. The sames ones come to mind over and over again and while they enjoy the repeats, they always want to hear NEW funny stories about when they were little. I came across a photo album of 2005 photos - when my son was three and my daughter was one - it was a busy time during which I was collecting scrapbooking supplies, but not actually doing a lot of scrapbooking. So it is fun to go back to these photos to mine them for stories and pages to make now. Looking at the photos reminded me of when my son tried to feed the Florida Aquarium fish some of his bottle, of when my son was fascinated by doors, and of when he wore those blue dog jammies to pre-school as often as he could.
My inspiration for this page came from Shannon Tidwell for Bella Blvd. CHA 2012, click here for a link to Shannon Tidwell's Baby Love Page for Bella Blvd.
The Scraplift: I actually had some giraffe paper in my stash that I'm pretty sure is at least 10 years old and I had it stored under "Travel: Theme Parks & Zoos". I used a Cosmo Cricket Journaling Card. I kept the basic layout of the page the same, but changed the orientation of the photo and the placement of the title and embellishments around the photo.
The Story: "Mac - you are always asking me to tell you funny stories about when you were little so I looked at some pictures of you when you were three and this is what I remember: * You drank from the dog water bowl * You rode Dandy like a horse * You loved crunching up sand in your mouth * You tried to feed the fish at the aquarium from your bottle * You were not a fan of naps * You wore the blue dog jammies to pre-school as often as you could * You loved getting into containers (and having me take your photo) * You were Allison's binkie pick-up boy * You used sign language to get more food * You loved the way doors worked (and everyone used to joke that you'd grow up to be a door man). - Documented by Mom 2/10/12."
